How Zoho Books pricing works in India
Zoho Books charges per organisation, per month. One organisation is one set of books, usually one legal entity. Each plan includes a fixed number of users, and you can add more users for a small monthly fee.
Prices are lower when you pay for a year in advance than when you pay month by month. All prices on Zoho's India pricing page exclude GST, so 18% GST is added to the bill.
The figures below are taken from Zoho's India pricing page as checked on 12 October 2026. Zoho changes plans and prices from time to time, so confirm the current price before you buy.
The free plan
Zoho Books has a free plan for businesses with annual revenue below ₹25 lakh. It covers the basics: invoices, bills, expenses, bank reconciliation, GST reports and filing, and more than 50 reports.
The limits are what decide whether it is enough for you.
- 1 user plus 1 login for your accountant
- Up to 1,000 invoices a year
- Email support only
- No paid add-ons except document scans
- Best for freelancers and very small businesses that are just starting
Paid plans and prices
Each paid plan includes everything in the plan below it. Prices are per organisation per month, before GST.
- Standard: ₹749 billed yearly, or ₹899 monthly. 3 users. Adds e-invoicing, payment reminders, a customer portal and period locking.
- Professional: ₹1,499 billed yearly, or ₹1,799 monthly. 5 users. Adds projects and timesheets, approvals for sales and purchases, multi-currency and custom workflows.
- Premium: ₹2,999 billed yearly, or ₹3,599 monthly. 10 users. Adds fixed assets, budgets, cash flow forecasting, a vendor portal and custom modules.
- Elite: ₹4,999 billed yearly, or ₹5,999 monthly. 15 users. Adds advanced inventory: multiple warehouses, batch and serial tracking, and online store connections.
- Ultimate: ₹7,999 billed yearly, or ₹9,599 monthly. 25 users. Adds advanced analytics and custom dashboards.
Which plan fits your business
Most small and growing Indian businesses fit into one of three plans. Choose by what you need to do every day, not by the longest feature list.
- Standard suits a small trading or service business that raises GST invoices, needs e-invoicing and has up to 3 people using the books.
- Professional suits service firms, agencies and contractors that bill by project, need approvals before bills are paid, or deal in foreign currency.
- Premium suits businesses that want budgets, cash flow forecasts and fixed asset registers, or have a larger finance team.
- Elite is worth it mainly for businesses that hold stock in several warehouses or need batch and serial number tracking.
- Ultimate is for larger teams that want analytics and dashboards inside their accounting system.
Add-ons that change the final bill
The plan price is not always the full cost. Check these add-ons before you compare plans.
- Extra users: ₹150 per user per month billed yearly, or ₹180 monthly
- Extra locations: needed for each additional GST registration (GSTIN)
- Document autoscans: sold in packs of 50 scans
- Expense claims: priced per user per month
- SMS credits for payment reminders
Mistakes to avoid when choosing a plan
The most common mistake is buying a higher plan for features nobody will use. The second is buying the lowest plan and then finding that approvals, projects or multi-currency are missing once the team starts work.
Count the people who need their own login, not just the ones who use it today. List the GST registrations you have. Note whether you bill by project, hold stock, or invoice in foreign currency. These few facts usually point to one plan.
You can upgrade later, but tax settings, users and workflows are easier to set up right at the start than to change after months of entries.
